There are a tremendous number of activities initiated by CHIEF members! Days-at-the-park, musical and theatrical performances, multiple educational co-ops, specialized classes, tours of local sites, short term sports camps, music lessons, curriculum sales…
If you can dream it up and organize it, other members of CHIEF are going to want to know about it! When activities are planned, the most common way to promote them is through our members-only email list.
Here’s a few examples of some of our ongoing educational opportunities:
Koinonia Co-op
Koinonia Co-op exists to nurture authentic Christian fellowship while providing a structured and supportive environment for academic growth. Koinonia – a Greek word for Christian fellowship that conveys shared life, partnership in faith, and meaningful community – captures the heart of what we seek to cultivate as families learn, connect, and grow together.
We meet once a week for 12 weeks during both the fall and spring semesters. Classes taught by participating parents are offered for Preschool through High School students in core subjects such as Science and Language Arts, along with a rotating Elective hour. Our approach values rich ideas and meaningful books, encouraging students to cultivate curiosity, attentiveness, and a genuine love of learning. A nursery is available for younger siblings so the whole family can participate.
Community life extends beyond the classroom through class parties, organized field trips, monthly spirit days, and other opportunities for families to build lasting relationships together.

Classical Conversations Co-op
Classical Conversations is so much more than a homeschooling program. Everything centers around community. Working with like-minded families, parents are supported as they learn alongside their children. Whether studying math, science, English, or just how to think critically, you will find yourself redeeming your own education as you are equipped with resources and training to teach your children not what to learn, but how to learn. With engaging, hands-on learning opportunities for all ages, students broaden their minds and develop a Christian worldview with every passing year.

The Classical Orchard seeks to collectively enjoy the beauty, growth, and unity of a classically-minded educational cooperative, alongside wellsprings of group experiences and community connections that enrich, support, and bless local Christian homeschool families in their pursuit of following God and His Word.
